Colbert: Reviews & Ratings
Colbert on Sloane Square is a classic Parisian style brasserie and a reliable stop for breakfast or a long lunch. The menu hits the standards well. Book if you can; they keep some tables for walk-ins but it gets busy.
I think Colbert is my favourite restaurant in London. I went for a snack and a hot chocolate yesterday but I have been here for date and just to hang out too. I love the croque madame, the kedgeree is delicious and the banana split is the best. Great venue in summer or winter and it serves food until quite late too. What a place!
We booked in advance, which is a must do when it’s Friday up to Christmas week. we arrived and our bags which we put into the cloakroom ,our waitresses showed us to our table which was no 11 if you like to people watch. Our waiter was brilliant and was soz knowledgeable our wine pairing for the meal was so good many thanks to William ,who is a credit to Colbert. It will be a go to experience again hopefully soon

The menu at Colbert is a celebration of classic French brasserie fare, thoughtfully prepared and flawlessly executed. The dishes strike a perfect balance between tradition and layered depth, from the rich chicken liver parfait and delicate artichoke cream soup to the succulent duck confit and perfectly cooked steak. The croque madame here is a standout — a comforting French staple elevated with rich béchamel and quality ham, making it an irresistible choice for both brunch and a casual meal. The kedgeree offers a surprising yet satisfying twist, infused with bold flavors that linger pleasantly. Desserts, too, are a highlight; the banana split earns high praise for its nostalgic yet refined approach, while the chocolate éclair and tarte tatin echo the comforting essence of a classic Parisian patisserie.
Aside from the food, the ambience elevates the entire dining experience. The vibrant buzz of Sloane Square spills softly through the windows, where impeccably dressed locals—true “Sloanes”—add a touch of grace and sophistication.
